The Dallas Cowboys are coming off of a win for the fourth time this season and they will be playing host to one of their oldest rivals on Sunday afternoon in the San Francisco 49ers. Dallas and San Francisco is a tale as old as time, the two sides have exchanged haymakers over the course of NFL history in games that effectively decided Lombardi trophies.
The upcoming matchup was initially set to take place on Sunday Night Football, but due to the down seasons for both the Cowboys and 49ers, the NFL flexed it back to the opening noon slot.
Andy Dalton led the Cowboys to victory against his old team last week and will be tasked with having success yet again. Mike McCarthy famously said during his opening press conference as the head coach of the Cowboys that he admired the work that Kyle Shanahan did with the 49ers last season, perhaps he took a thing or two.
