The Dallas Cowboys are coming off of a win and have what will likely only be three games left in the season, but as Stephen Jones like to say, roster construction is something that happens every day of the year.
We have seen the Cowboys adjust and tinker with their roster a number of times over the season and Wednesday was no different. Mike McCarthy intimated that some of these moves would happen during his press conference for the day, but the team officially announced them. The good news is that Chidobe Awuzie is back, and Trevon Diggs is moving in that direction.
On Wednesday, the @dallascowboys:
— Dallas Cowboys Public Relations (@DallasCowboysPR) December 16, 2020
- Activated CB Chidobe Awuzie (Colorado) off the Reserve/COVID-19 list
- Designated CB Trevon Diggs (Alabama) to return from Reserve/Injured
- Added C Adam Redmond (Harvard) to the practice squad
Awuzie spent last week on the Reserve/COVID-19 list and Trevon Diggs has been on injured reserve. They are this team’s two best cornerbacks so getting them back should theoretically go a long way on defense. Hopefully Diggs can play after this week’s practices.
Adam Redmond is also back with the team as he has been added to the practice squad. You can never have enough offensive line depth so this is nice to see.
