We should have been having this conversation later in the evening after it was already dark outside, but here we are in the late morning. I hope that your breakfast was delicious.
What am I talking about exactly? The Dallas Cowboys and San Francisco 49ers are set to kick off soon (at 1 PM ET as opposed to the originally scheduled Sunday night primetime slot) in a game where each team is battling for the most disappointing season.
After this year’s schedule first came out many people were excited for this contest (hence the primetime designation), perhaps those involved will still be able to make it a riveting few hours.
Who will be involved, exactly? Inactives are in and there is some rather large news as Ezekiel Elliott will miss a game due to injury for the first time in his career.
Dallas Cowboys inactives:
- QB Ben DiNucci
- WR Malik Turner
- RB Ezekiel Elliott
- CB Rashard Robinson
- De Bradlee Anae
- LB Luke Gifford
- DE Ron’Dell Carter
San Francisco 49ers inactives:
- C Hroniss Grasu
- WR Deebo Samuel
- CB Jason Verrett
- LB Mark Nzeocha
It is obviously significant news that Ezekiel Elliott is out for the Cowboys. This is the first chance that we will ever get to see Tony Pollard as a true featured back in this team’s offense.
Here we go.
