The Dallas Cowboys will be battling the New York Giants on Sunday, and they will also be battling the injury list. Any thoughts of getting Leighton Vander Esch or Zack Martin back for this game are likely misplaced. Both players seem to be out for the upcoming contest.
The Cowboys defensive secondary is really were the injury mystery lies. Safety Xavier Woods has returned to practice and was reportedly doing well in practice yesterday, making his return look more promising. He was still listed as limited today. His partner at safety, Donovan Wilson, is still suffering from an illness and was unable to practice today.
At corner, Chidobe Awuzie had been limited but was a full participant today. Reserve corner Rashard Robinson is still out with a knee injury. Safety Darian Thompson is out with a concussion.
Ezekiel Elliott is no longer appearing on the injury report so he looks good to go for Sunday. And third-string quarterback Ben DiNucci shows up as limited today.

Daniel Jones (knee) a full participant.
TE Evan Engram (calf) among those limited.
FB Eli Penny (illness) and WR Golden Tate (calf) did not practice. #giants #cowboys
Alex Smith was back to work with the first team at Washington’s practice on Thursday, but the quarterback didn’t do enough work to be considered a full participant.
The Football Team practiced without running back Antonio Gibson (toe) and wide receiver Terry McLaurin (ankle) for the second straight day, but Rivera said, via Nicki Jhabvala of the Washington Post, Gibson is just getting rest. Linebacker Thomas Davis (knee) was also out of practice ahead of what he announced will be his final regular season game as an active player.
