The Dallas Cowboys are operating on a short week as they just played their Week 13 game against the Baltimore Ravens on Tuesday night. That game ended in a loss for America’s Team, and they’ll have to get over it quickly as they’ll be on the road again on Sunday taking on the Cincinnati Bengals.
This matchup presents a rather important one as far as the potential 2021 NFL Draft order is concerned. At present moment the Bengals and Cowboys would own the third and fourth overall picks, respectively, so this result is going to be rather important in that particular regard.
Of course, the Cowboys do still have the NFC East to play for although what looked somewhat conquerable seems a bit more difficult as both the New York Giants and Washington Football Team won last week. Each of these two teams managed to beat the Bengals this season, the other division rival in the Philadelphia Eagles tied them, so it will be an interesting barometer of sorts for Dallas.
This game marks the return of quarterback Andy Dalton to his former team as he played nine seasons for the Bengals. Cincinnati is currently also dealing with having lost their starting quarterback, Joe Burrow, for the rest of the season due to injury. This game could come down to playmakers like Amari Cooper, CeeDee Lamb, Ezekiel Elliott, and the likes of Tyler Boyd, Gio Bernard, and Tee Higgins on the opposing side.
