Kicker was a big issue for the Dallas Cowboys in 2019. Big is actually putting it lightly.
Two years ago the Cowboys released Dan Bailey. Last season Dallas dealt with the up-and-down (mostly down) performance of Brett Maher. Late in the season, after a rough time after Thanksgiving, the Cowboys moved on from Maher and brought in Kai Forbath. He responded in incredible fashion.
The Dallas Cowboys are bringing Kai Forbath back for 2020
While the Cowboys seemingly debated bringing Kai Forbath back, or bringing in someone new special teams coordinator John Fassel has familiarity with in Greg Zuerlein, it appears as if they’ve made their choice. It’s Forbath.

Kai Forbath went a perfect 10 for 10 on both field goals and extra points for the Cowboys through three games last season. He is 32 years old which is well in the right range for kickers.
Having a good kicker is a luxury that the Cowboys seemingly got too used to with peak Dan Bailey. Here’s hoping that Kai Forbath stays 100% accurate forever with the Cowboys.
