[Ed. note]: Hey all, we’ve brought on a new writer to the BTB front page. We’re very excited to have him here. Many of you may have already read his work on another Cowboys site, The Landry Hat. Say hello to Terence Watson. — Dave Halprin
I’m excited to be joining the BTB team. I’m a lifelong Dallas Cowboys fan from San Antonio, TX now living deep in Redskins territory. That doesn’t stop me from reppin’ the Cowboys even though I’m here in enemy territory. So much so that my wedding was Dallas Cowboys themed. I’m a new father which is very exciting. I’m here to talk Cowboys football with my fellow BTB team members as well as our readers.
Here are a few topics to get the ball rolling.
My favorite Dallas Cowboy is a three-time NFL champion, and the NFL’s all-time leader in rushing yards, Emmitt Smith. His running style wasn’t as flashy as Barry Sanders but it was effective. He was tough and a very smart runner, things I tried to emulate during my time playing football through high school.
My favorite Dallas Cowboy memory is a fairly recent one because of what happened afterwards. The Cowboys were down 30-29 with nine seconds left in the game. Ezekiel Elliott was able to run up the middle and broke away for a 32-yard touchdown run to win the game. After the game my friend had to put on my Dez Bryant jersey and throw up the X in the middle of the bar and allow me to take pictures to remember the moment. Good times.
Now a little about my writing history, I come by way of The Landry Hat where I covered the Cowboys over the past two years. When it comes to my articles, I look for answers by analyzing stats while also sharing my take on issues regarding the Cowboys. I’ve covered the Cowboys drafts, free agency and given game previews and recaps during my time with The Landry Hat.
I can’t wait to start working with BTB and giving you all the best Dallas Cowboys content on the internet.
