Tape Summary (vs Indiana, Michigan St, Clemson)
Nice size/speed build to him. Versatile in man or zone, can even play out of the slot a bit. Plays out of press man very competently to consistently maintain tight coverage and can jam at the line effectively when asked. Reacts really well to the WRs as they break on the route, giving up very little separation. Hips are quite fluid, letting him make quick adjustments to react to a WR. Active and light footed in his backpedaling. His speed allows him to carry receivers deep. Level headed and in control when in zone, picking up the right person entering and exiting his area. Will give up some catches inside - feel like he gives more cushion on inside breaking routes if he thinks he's supposed to have help there. Willing to get physical take on blockers and to try to make tackles - can lay the wood pretty impressively for a safety. Really good effort player, I rarely see CBs run around as much as him.
Overall, easily the best corner prospect in the class, boasting the best coverage abilities and tackling/run support ability. Maybe not has elite at coverage as the top CB in some of the recent classes (say, Marshonn Lattimore for example), but he's immensely well rounded, while still having one of the best motors for the position, which you rarely see out of blue chip players like him
Grade: Top 5 -10 Overall

Tape Summary (vs Miami, Vanderbilt, Missouri)
Long athlete - the first thing that jumps off the tape when you watch him. Good speed to him as well. All the athletic tools you'd want in a CB. Can play on the left or right side of the field. Versatile - plays a lot of snaps in man and zone, good at both but better in man. Generally stays tight in man, but will give up a little bit of cushion. His fluidity and speed make up for the occasions where he doesn't react on time to the the WR's break. I feel like he picks up the wrong man sometimes in zone, not as consistent as he is in man. Not one to typically give up a big play, but similarly rarely saw him making plays on the ball. Works to fight off blockers, but not the most adept at it. Not much by way of tackling form, but is willing to get physical. Susceptible to getting juked out frequently by the ball carrier. A pretty good edge blitzer, particularly on run blitzes. Slightly above average awareness and average motor.
Overall, a very good pure press man corner who has the athletic profile that lends you to believe he may have elite potential some day, however, poor tackling ability could make him a liability on defense at times. I am a particularly strict grader when it comes to tackling and it has an outsized influence on my evaluation (too tired of seeing missed tackles allowing opponents to stay on the field and put up points).
