The 2020 NFL Draft is underway and the Cowboys have plenty of spots on their roster to address. All offseason long, the questions had been whether the Cowboys would go after an edge rusher, cornerback, safety, or be faced with a top receiver talent they couldn’t pass on. As the draft began, there were no trades in the Top-10 picks but things were shaking out well for the Cowboys.
Until the Jaguars had to throw a damp blanket on the party and draft Florida CB C.J. Henderson.
The Cowboys lose one of their top guys on their wish list with Jacksonville taking cornerback C.J. Henderson.

In a miraculous wave of good luck, both CeeDee Lamb and K’Lavon Chaisson were staring them in the face at 17 after the Falcons took A.J. Terrell, the CB out of Clemson...
Thank you ATL

A.J. Terrell was an option for the Cowboys, but they have K'Lavon Chaisson staring at them with the 17th pick. Pass rush or receiver. If you go with need, it's pass rusher.

So is it #TeamPassRush or #Team40Burger?
If you have ever ordered the honey butter chicken biscuit AND two potato and egg tacos at 2am at Whataburger then you know full well that CeeDee Lamb is the move for the Cowboys

CeeDee Lamb is there. K'Lavon Chaisson is there.

it's this simple:
the Dallas Cowboys are about to show you how they weigh need vs. best player available.
What’s the verdict?!
K'Lavon Chaisson is an ascending player and would be a wonderful pick.

... I would pick Lamb and not think twice.
The Cowboys selected CeeDee Lamb, WR, Oklahoma!

YES!!!!!!!!!!!
— John Owning (@JohnOwning) April 24, 2020
A win for scoring all the points in the NFL. Nobody thought the Cowboys would do it, actually take a receiver with needs on defense?
Mike McCarthy is clapping
— RJ Ochoa (@rjochoa) April 24, 2020
Somewhere, Jason Garrett smiles
The truth that Mike McCarthy has spoken all offseason is about taking the best player and when you have a shot at the best receiver in the draft according to most draft experts - why not?!
BURGERS FOR EVERYONE
— David Helman (@HelmanDC) April 24, 2020
BURGERS.
FOR.
EVERYONE.
Without question, the Cowboys need defensive help but sometimes you just have to answer the call when it’s so obvious who the best player is. He just might be the best in the class and now he plays for your Cowboys!
Michael Irvin said CeeDee Lamb was the top WR on the Cowboys’ draft board. He now pairs with Amari Cooper and Michael Gallup. A lot of weapons on that Dallas offense pic.twitter.com/QOCgdxhwOf

Cowboys fans should rejoice in what occurred in round one:
NFL teams lean toward drafting the best player available, with need***
— David Helman (@HelmanDC) April 24, 2020
in some circumstances, pure BPA takes over. CeeDee Lamb was a blinking red light. Cowboys fans should be elated.
Look at this nasty depth chart at WR:
