Tonight on NBCSN- DALLAS v NYG 11/23/2014

As the quarantine continues with no sports to watch, it is nice to see the NFL open up with free Game Pass, but I would love to get in the vault & see the old games. NBCSN has done they same with dusting off old games & putting them in prime time for us sports starved fans to eat up like a fat man at a BBQ.

Tonight we get the matchup from 14 when we went into the The Meadowlands & once again buried them. The media blew us off & instead became fascinated with the one handed catch by OBJ. Sure it was a great catch, but if you ever get lost on Twitter or You Tube you will be blown away by the catches that are being made by kids at every level. OBJ just happened to do it in prime time.

The game would be forgotten had that catch not been made. The Giants were a sinking ship as a franchise, despite winning the SB two years earlier. We were finally loaded & knocking on the playoffs door as we fought the Eagles for the division throne. This game was a classic since it was a division rival & we let them get a lead thinking victory was their's only to get started after half-time to steal a victory from the 80K fans at MetLife. Those road wins can never be overlooked as they steal the souls from our rivals especially in their house in primetime.

This game is fun to watch as it seems like yesterday, but when you see the starting rosters from then, you realize we have churned the roster. There were many great moments from those that love Romo as he did put the team on his back leading us to victory. Other stars from yesterday made their mark as well, Beasley, Witten & Dez all made appearances in the end zone celebrating their TD's from the hand of God, Tony Romo.

The defense also shows up in this one as they bent over early, but managed to play stellar defense in the second half to seal the victory. They were there at the end when other ghosts made an appearance. Mr Purple Drank saved the game at the end when on a 4th and two with 46 ticks on the clock he stopped Rashad Jennings short of the sticks. The play looked like maybe it was a first down if you listened to one of the 80K fans, but replay showed that the night was now over & victory was ours.

Those Sunday Night wins are priceless as we spent all day waiting for the game & then it looked like it was going to OBJ Night, but Dez was having none of that & he showed everybody who is the top WR. We could now put our heads on our pillow & close our eyes knowing we stole a game vs a rival & work was going to be a good week as we start it off with a win. No coffee is needed in the morning as victory is a better wake up call than coffee plus the rush you get when you want to get to work to smile & collect from co-workers.

It was just 6 years ago, but we only have two starters on offense left from that team, Tron & Martin & have completely churned the defense. This was the starting line-ups

QB T Romo

RB D Murray

FB T Clutts

WR D Bryant

WR T Williams

TE J Witten

LT Tron

LG R Leary

C T Frederick

RG Z Martin

RT D Free

DEFENSE

LDE G Selvie

RDE J Mincey

MLB R McClain

WLB A Hitchens

LCB B Carr

RCB O Scandrick

DB S Moore

We have so many who throw hate on Jeff Heath, but we had Wilcox & Moore playing big minutes. We have upgraded the team from then that's for sure. Look at the DL, no don't just realize we were pathetic back then & are in a much better place today although some will still complain about our talent level, yet look at what we trotted out there. This was no 8-8 scrub collection, this team would finish 12-4 with the division championship shirts to offer as proof. We had legit eyes on post season glory & came oh so close, but that disaster is for another FanPost.

So tune in tonight to see it live, well not live, but rebroadcast. So check your local listings or sign up with a free trial to HULU to enjoy the game. Just know we win in the end so it is worthy of a Man Cave Feast with a spread of tasty treats with plenty of adult beverages as we try to get through this quarantine. Just remember no high fives & remember to wash those hands. Stay safe & best of health to everybody!
