The 2020 Dallas Cowboys schedule is officially out and excitement is in the air. You can feel it.
We now know that the Cowboys will begin their march towards Super Bowl LV in the City of Angels; they will be the first opponent for the Los Angeles Rams in the brand new SoFi Stadium that has been in the works since the team’s return to the area.
While the when of this game is now known, the reality is that we are still a ways away from the first Dallas Cowboys game of the season. There are about four months until a foot meets a ball in LA, but that isn’t stopping people from putting out some predictions and lines.
The Dallas Cowboys are favored by three points according to one oddsmaker
It wasn’t that long ago that the Rams were the talk of the NFL. People thought that Sean McVay’s squad would be competing year after year for a Super Bowl but they missed the playoffs just last season (coincidentally it was the Cowboys that delivered the final real blow).
Perhaps you think that the Cowboys are the better team than the Rams; it feels like there are a lot of people that do in fact feel this way. The folks over at FoxBet.com believe that the Cowboys are so superior that even when they do travel to take on the Rams in four months that they will be favorites.
FoxBet actually has the Cowboys as three-point favorites over the Rams and has the over/under set at 49.5. It certainly feels fair to put the o/u right around there as the Cowboys figure to have one of the more prolific offenses in the NFL in 2020, but do you think they should be favored by three?
As mentioned Dallas throttled the Rams in their last moment of real significance last season and that was without CeeDee Lamb. Los Angeles moved on from Todd Gurley so they are technically down that piece, but they wouldn’t have done so if they didn’t feel like it was in the best interest of their team.
The Cowboys are favored on the road against the Rams. Welcome to 2020.
