One oddsmaker has the Cowboys with the third-best non-Jets odds to land Jamal Adams

What are the odds?

Death, taxes, and the Dallas Cowboys being linked to safeties on teams with green as a primary color. Jamal Adams has given many Cowboys fans flashbacks to Earl Thomas and considering that Thomas ended up playing for the Baltimore Ravens, well, they aren’t exactly fun memories.

Word on Thursday was that Adams wants to be traded from the New York Jets. If you have been following along for the last year and a half or so then you know that the Dallas Cowboys have been linked to the former DFW resident. There are people that continue to hold out hope that a trade could happen, but there are also those that have been burned in the past.

On Friday, our friends at BetOnline released odds for where Jamal Adams could wind up (assuming he is not playing for the Jets). The Dallas Cowboys have the third-best.

The two teams with better odds than the Cowboys to land Adams are the Baltimore Ravens (who have reportedly expressed interest in him) and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Tampa is obviously a very different franchise since landing both Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski this offseason.

If Adams were to join a team on this list that wasn’t the Cowboys, there is no doubt that the one that would upset us most would be the Philadelphia Eagles. Imagining a secondary that already added Darius Slay also adding Jamal Adams isn’t a whole lot of fun, despite how many receiving options we know the Cowboys to have.

Again these odds are for teams that are not the New York Jets and there is a strong likelihood that they wind up keeping Jamal Adams themselves. This is going to be a big storyline in the NFL until it is not, buckle up.
