We have seen the Dallas Cowboys pledge donations to different charities over the last few months and that giving spirit has always been something that they have tried to extend to their players. In the time of COVID-19, there is even a greater need to help out in the community. This past week one of their more prominent stars, Ezekiel Elliott. made a sizable donation to charity. The all-world running back donated $85,000 to help feed over 400,000 families.

I am grateful to give back to the city that’s given me so much. I am thankful for @centretx and YOU my fans for raising enough money to help feed over 400,000 families in North Texas this summer. I hope that this money helps provide much needed relief for those that are currently challenged. I’m looking forward to teaming up with @centretx and @northtexasfoodbank in the future to keep providing meals for those in need in our communities.
Ezekiel Elliott also noted that he is looking forward to helping to help out more in the future and the help that is needed during these times is quite large. It is always encouraging to see those with significant platforms and means use them for good; it is something that Zeke has become more involved with since he signed his long-term deal with the Cowboys almost a year ago.
