This offseason has felt quite long in many ways, so long that perhaps you have forgotten all of the moves that the Dallas Cowboys made. It is difficult not to remember that the organization drafted CeeDee Lamb in the first round, heck it’s difficult to blow past their draft class as a whole. While the draft did yield some serious talent, the team’s free agency haul was not too shabby either.

Dallas brought in big names like Gerald McCoy, Ha Ha Clinton-Dix, and, to the surprise of many, Aldon Smith. The team’s interest in Smith became a subject of fascination and remains one as he has officially been reinstated by the National Football League.

The fact is that much of who Smith is as a football player, or athlete in general, remains a mystery. With no mini camps or OTAs we haven’t gotten to see much of him or what he has the potential to be.

Thankfully this little thing called the internet exists and oftentimes videos of players working out hits social media. It appears as if Smith was working out with Neville Gallimore, Antwaun Woods, Shane Ray, and Von Miller, and Smith is practicing some hand fighting.

This is just one video of a few drills, but it is exciting to see some activity from Smith nonetheless. The Cowboys are in serious need of an edge presence opposite of DeMarcus Lawrence and there are plenty of people who are hoping that Smith can provide it.

We are officially inside of two weeks to the date that NFL training camps are scheduled to start. Hopefully they are able to begin and that we get to see more of Aldon Smith soon enough.
