Dallas Cowboys rookies are schedule to report to The Star in Frisco on Tuesday, July 21st, and considering that when this week began none of their draft picks were signed, they had some work to do.

Last week was filled with a lot of quarterback news concerning the team given the franchise tag deadline and Dak Prescott. Obviously the Cowboys were unable to agree to a long-term deal with their starter, and as a result he will play the 2020 season on a one-year deal.

Mike McCarthy has been busy in terms of toying with the roster, though. While Dak is the unquestioned starter for the team there is, of course, veteran Andy Dalton, and thanks to the NFL Draft, there is a brand new face. He has a rookie deal as well now, too.

Ben DiNucci has signed his rookie deal with the Cowboys

You have likely heard about Ben DiNucci introducing himself to Mike McCarthy at the Omni hotel at The Star in Frisco, how they shared a Pennsylvania common denominator, and all of that jazz. If you somehow have no clue who Ben DiNucci is, you’re in luck, he stopped by the BTB podcast network right after being drafted by America’s Team. Listen below.

DiNucci was the last draft pick that the Cowboys made a few months ago, but according to reports he is among the first of the crew to sign his rookie deal. He is now officially part of the Dallas Cowboys.

It will be interesting to see how much work DiNucci gets throughout the training camp happening at The Star given that things are far different than they ever have been. There is no question of Dak Prescott holding out given that he already signed his franchise tag tender, and often times snaps for young quarterbacks are quite rare.
