It was just three years ago that the Dallas Cowboys drafted two cornerbacks that many people were hoping would be the future star duo in the secondary. That didn’t exactly happen.

Time does fly as Chidobe Awuzie and Jourdan Lewis are both entering the final year of their rookie deals, and if you blink for too long, you might get the same feeling with this year’s draftees Trevon Diggs and Reggie Robinson II.

Speaking of Reggie Robinson, people are very excited to see him play. He has some position flexibility that could be useful in Mike Nolan’s defense, and it’s thought he could contribute on special teams right away.

Reggie Robinson II has signed his rookie contract with the Cowboys

Speaking for myself, I am very excited to see a Dallas Cowboys cornerback wearing number 41 as it has been far too long since we’ve seen that. Robinson will be donning those digits now that he has agreed to terms on a rookie deal with the team.

A few months ago we caught up with Robinson’s head coach at Tulsa, Philip Montgomery. Coach Montgomery talked about the incredible player that the Cowboys are getting and we are all very excited to see that play out on a weekly basis.

Whether the Cowboys play Robinson somewhere other than corner remains to be seen.
