The Dallas Cowboys will be playing a football game of consequence on Sunday, and man alive, are we all excited to finally see this team in action. There are so many new faces associated with the Cowboys and hopefully new ideas and schemes. Seeing everything come together is going to be so much fun, and seeing it in one of the NFL’s newest stadiums will be great on top of that.
Dallas will indeed be playing in the first game ever at SoFi Stadium, the new home to the Los Angeles Rams and Los Angeles Chargers. If you’re a fan of football stadiums, or just a fan of architecture in general, you’ll likely enjoy what SoFi has to offer.
Of course, the Cowboys have been on a few different fields already in 2020, most notably the ones at The Star and AT&T Stadium. Some members of the team have been on a different field though, one in Dak Prescott’s backyard.
The field that Dak Prescott built at his house is absolutely incredible
We have heard so much since the Cowboys started speaking regularly about the custom field that quarterback Dak Prescott had built at his house over the offseason. Prescott is obviously still looking for a long-term deal, but he has a few resources at his disposal, and he put together a spot for he and his teammates to train. That is very smart and the mark of a great leader.
There have been a few snippets of this field to hit social media, but we finally have gotten a chance to see it from what looks like the perspective of a drone. Graham Bensinger sat down for an interview with Dak Prescott and posted a series of clips from it on his YouTube Channel. In one video specifically, you can see the field in all of its glory.
Dak mentions in the video that there is about 45 yards worth of field (which you can clearly see) and it is obviously quite the bit of turf to behold. It is certainly more than enough field for him and some friends/teammates to get in some work on, and ideally we will see the results of that play out over the course of this season.
When Dak and Graham walked off the field in the video, the quarterback pointed out a different section of his property where he is having a putting green with several holes built, something that he said would mirror Top Golf. This week’s opposing signal-caller, Los Angeles Rams quarterback Jared Goff, was seen showing off his new chipping area of sorts at his house on an episode of Hard Knocks this season.
Hopefully Dak and Co.’s work here over the offseason shows up in big ways week in and week out in 2020 and beyond. This was no easy task (and surely no small expense). It’s football season.
