The Dallas Cowboys are only one game into the season and are already fighting the injury bug. Before the first game they put La’el Collins, Sean Lee and Ventell Bryant on injured reserve. Those three now have company as Leighton Vander Esch, Blake Jarwin and Cam Erving join them. Jarwin is done for the year with an ACL injury, Vander Esch is expected to miss 6-8 weeks, while Erving is looking at 4-6 seeks. Meanwhile, we learned today that Sean Lee is unlikely to return for another six weeks.
That’s a lot of manpower sidelined for the Cowboys who desperately need a win this week versus the Atlanta Falcons to avoid two straight losses to start the year.
With that in mind, let’s take a look at the first injury report of the week for the Cowboys.
Jourdan Lewis practiced in full today. So everyone on the active roster was full go for the first practice of Week 2. pic.twitter.com/lTFAY3ICW2

Besides the major injuries we already discussed, the Cowboys look good. An additional bonus is the return to practice of Jourdan Lewis. We’ll see if he is able to go this week and where he would fall in the rotation of the secondary.
On the Falcons side of things:
OT Jake Matthews (knee), CB Kendall Sheffield (foot) and DE Charles Harris (ankle) were held out of the Falcons' Wednesday practice. WR Julio Jones (hamstring) and DT Marlon Davidson (knee) were limited. https://t.co/e6WItX0C3U
