2020: The Year of Hypocrisy

With how tired I am of the Cowboys and 2020 in general, I am more tired of Cowboys fans and we are only 3 weeks into the season.

I'm tired of all the fans demanding for Earl Thomas in the building, as if they know what goes on behind the scenes. Do you think if Earl Thomas were truly available that he would be on the streets right now? I understand that we as fans should have zero faith in the FO, but for 30 other NFL teams to overlook Earl Thomas means something is up.

I'm ALREADY tired of people calling for Mike McCarthy's job. I mean REALLY?!?! Let's keep in mind that McCarthy didn't have a full training camp or off-season with these players. People are disgusted with some of his calls early on. A few years ago we were begging for a coach who was more aggressive. I for one am relieved that we have a coach that shows confidence in his players and plays to win other than playing to tie or to defer. Maybe it's because some fans have already been conditioned to this attitude over the last 10 years.

I take this season as a feeler for McCarthy to gauge what he has and doesn't have on this team. Think there will be a lot of dead weight cut after this season. As a player, this season should be treated as an interview. And for a lot of players on defense, they are failing and I'm completely OK with that. I look forward to seeing a lot of roster turnover and finally getting rid of dead weight. Jaylon Smith, LVE, Tyrone Crawford, Xavier Woods, Chido, Jourdan, Sean Lee, DLaw... All these guys are just names at this point and should be traded or let go. I look forward to the McCarthy Era and look forward to changing the stigma that is clouding this team. Seems like everyone on this team is after their money and looking out for #1 and I really believe there's no place for that here in Dallas. Time to change the attitude. Get some guys in here that love football and winning. I don't see McCarthy as a dead beat. I see him as someone who is willing to fight for something and doesn't settle, something that Garrett did for 10 years. Rome wasn't built in a day.

Looking forward to being optimistic as a fan base for once with the understanding that there is a learning curve for these guys and the off-season that they had put them behind the 8 ball.

Rant over.
