The Cowboys are definitely fighting the injury bug early in the 2020 season. This is the week that players who were put on injured reserve before the season started can get back into the action. It doesn’t look like the two main players in that situation, La’el Collins and Sean Lee, will be back. We know Lee will be out as he is still recovering from surgery, and Collins’ status is mysterious, but he won’t be back this week for sure.
Jane Slater had a little more on Collins’ situation.
I asked why not surgery now and I was told “if it was Week 10 and the team was 0-8 it would be something they would explore but we are still hoping it’s manageable” https://t.co/E8lVV0SS5k

The Cowboys were hopeful that Tyron Smith could participate in practice today on a limited basis.
Cowboys LT Tyron Smith is practicing for first time since Sept. 17 neck injury. After he missed two games, there is optimism he’ll return during three-game homestand, perhaps as early as Sunday vs. Browns. But his contact is still limited. Likely only individual drills today.

It turned out that he is officially listed as did not participate. Also not participating today was defensive end DeMarcus Lawrence.

Rookie CB Trevon Diggs is dealing with shoulder and knee injuries but he was a full participant today
The rest of the Cowboys practiced, including CeeDee Lamb. There was some concern for Lamb after his awkward hit on a punt return and sporadic use at the end of the game. Trevon Diggs is banged up but he’s gutting it out.
Here is the Browns injury report.
