[UPDATE] The Cowboys official injury report for today is good news.
#CowboysNation will be glad to hear Amari Cooper and Chidobe Awuzie are considered full practice participants today.

Turns out Amari Cooper has been dealing with a hamstring issue.
The Cowboys returned to the practice field this afternoon in anticipation of their Sunday night game with the Los Angeles Rams. The team is now settling into a regular season groove for practices, this one being the first one for the Week 1 game.
The good news is that everyone who is currently on the active roster practiced in some form, except for cornerback Jourdan Lewis.
Cowboys S Xavier Woods, LB Luke Gifford and CB Chidobe Awuzie all returned to practice. Nickel CB Jourdan Lewis (ankle) was not in uniform. He spectated.

This is what was anticipated based on the press conference with Mike McCarthy earlier today.
Jourdan Lewis (leg injury) walked out onto the practice field with no helmet. The majority of his teammates had theirs along with shoulder pads.

CB Jourdan Lewis was the only player on the Cowboys’ active roster not practicing today. (WR Ventell Bryant is starting the season on injured reserve) pic.twitter.com/AxPFZdOfH1

That put both Xavier Woods and Chidobe Awuzie back on the field for today. They were joined by Brandon Carr, who in the early part of practice was working out with Woods, indicating they are definitely cross-training the cornerback at safety.

Amari Cooper was at practice and dressed out, but he was still working on the side some with the trainers. He did participate in some of the individual drills.
Cowboys WR Amari Cooper worked on side field at start of practice, rehabbing on resistance cords with a trainer. He’s dealing with undisclosed ailment. Team’s injury report to come later today. But would expect Cooper to build gradually toward Sunday and start vs. Rams.

Other fun facts from the early part of practice included CeeDee Lamb working as a punt returner.
