The Dallas Cowboys host a division rival, the New York Giants, on Sunday afternoon at AT&T Stadium. The Cowboys have raced out to a 3-1 record in the 2021 season and are looking to put even more distance between themselves and the rest of the NFC East with a fourth consecutive win. The Giants got their first win of the season last week and are looking to build a little momentum.
The Cowboys offense is on fire and it’s surprisingly not the arm of Dak Prescott that is driving the excellence, but the legs of Ezekiel Elliott and Tony Pollard, plus some outstanding blocking from the offensive line. That’s not to say that Prescott isn’t having a fantastic season, he is, but the Cowboys are content to run the ball as long as it is working. You can expect them to continue running the ball this week against a Giants defense that is struggling to contain the run.
On defense, the Cowboys rely on an opportunistic bunch that specialize in takeaways, led by cornerback Trevon Diggs. Giants quarterback Daniel Jones has cut down on his turnover problems from the past, but he better be careful this week if the Giants want to stay in the game.
