After three games at home, the Dallas Cowboys hit the road and travel all the way up to Foxborough, MA, for a battle with the New England Patriots. In the past, the Cowboys have not fared well against the Patriots, having not won against them since 1996. That even pre-dates the Bill Belichick/Tom Brady era. Bill Belichick is still there, but Brady has moved on and the Patriots are significantly less formidable without him.
The Cowboys are coming in hot on a four-game winning streak and are the favorites in the game. Led by Dak Prescott, the Cowboys offense is a juggernaut, ranking second in the league in points scored and sporting a pick-your-poison dilemma for defense. Dallas can run the ball or pass it with equal success. Defenses must concentrate on stopping one and hope for the best with the other.
On defense, it’s all about the turnover for the Cowboys. They are second in that department in the NFL and will try to get some more playing against rookie quarterback Mac Jones. The Patriots are also hurting along the offensive line, providing more opportunity for the Cowboys defense to add to their turnover tally.
