The Dallas Cowboys survived their Week 8 game against the Minnesota Vikings by a final score of 20-16. They did that without Dak Prescott, and his status caused the betting lines to jump around all week prior to the game. When it was thought he was going to play, the Cowboys were favored by a few points over the Vikings, but by the end of the week the Vikings had jumped out to three-point favorites.
This week, the expectation would be that Dak is back given that he looked good in warmups before the game and the Cowboys waited until game time to decide his status. That should indicate a return next week, but you never know.
The Cowboys will face the Denver Broncos in Dallas on Sunday, and the opening line has them as 7-point favorites, according to DraftKings Sportsbook. A reminder that the Cowboys are the only team undefeated against the spread this season with a perfect 7-0 record.
Besides Prescott, there were a few injuries that happened in the game that could shake up the line this week. Left tackle Tyron Smith sat out much of the latter portion of the Vikings game with an ankle injury. Cornerback Trevon Diggs sprained his ankle near the end of the game and will also be evaluated.
Right now, the line is Dallas -7, but depending on the injury situation that could quickly change.
