Cowboys vs. Broncos second injury report: Dak Prescott says “safe to say” he will play Sunday

It looks like the Cowboys will have Dak Prescott back on Sunday.

Earlier in the day, Dallas Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy said that Dak Prescott should be back as a full participant in practice on Thursday, and that the expectation is that Prescott will play on Sunday against the Denver Broncos.

Apparently it is all going to plan. Prescott was listed as a full participant in Thursday’s practice and later told reporters it was “safe to say” that he would be taking offensive snaps on Sunday.

The CeeDee Lamb injury didn’t happen in the Vikings game last Sunday. Instead he sprained his ankle in Wednesday’s practice. Lamb did not practice on Thursday, contrary to McCarthy’s earlier statement that he would be limited.

The news on Tyron Smith is still the same. He didn’t participate in Thursday’s practice and he is unlikely to play on Sunday. The Cowboys will have to figure out how to use the trio of Terence Steele, La’el Collins and Ty Nsekhe to cover his absence. It looks like they may have made their decision.

Blake Jarwin doesn’t look like he will be available this week as he missed another practice.

As for Michael Gallup, his status for the game is still unknown.

The full report. Amari Cooper was limited with his hamstring issue.
