Someone has to say it: Dak could be a problem!

If you go back through his career and especially this year when Dak doesn't have a good running game he is a below average QB. That's not necessarily a problem BUT elite QBs should be able to win a game on their arm alone 40% of the time. We are paying him elite money and he hasn't produced at an elite level. A 40 million dollar QB should be able to win a game without Amari Cooper, ESPECIALLY against average teams. The only games I can give Dak a pass on is the KC game. Our o-line was NOT good that game but even when he had time to throw either he was off or the wrs drop the ball.

Another problem is that Dak will NOT run the ball. There have been at least 12 drives in the past 4 games that he could have easily run for the first down and he had wide open field ( looking from the all 22 film ) but yet he opted to throw it and it was incomplete. When you don't have everything right going around you we need him to get gritty and get the first down by any means necessary. You can make an argument that he will do it in the playoffs BUT the counterpoint to that is that he played tough man football on a 2 point conversion against Denver that was totally useless!!!! A head scratcher to say the least.

In my conclusion it seems to me that Dak is a prima donna! Not off the field but ON the field. How you may ask? Well on a scale of 1 to 10 if the game is a 7 or above he plays well. If it's 6 or lower then he is not a good QB. I saw a QB (who I can't stand by the way) in Rodgers go to Arizona without any of his WRs and no TE and beat a good team. Can Dak do that?!! The answer is a resounding NOOOOOOOO!!! I don't want to hear anymore about getting back to basics and my footwork wasn't right! You are getting paid too much money to not have your footwork right! I was under the impression that he is a pretty accurate thrower. That has not been the case these past 5 games. He has only played elite when we have ran the ball well. If you need everything around you to be perfect for you to be elite then renegotiate your contract for less money (I know it won't ever happen) so we can put better players around you. When we get to the playoffs we are going to play way better teams than Denver, Las Vegas, and even possibly KC. Can Dak, if we don't have our A game beat a playoff team 3 or 4 times in a row. I don't believe he can. Also I do wonder if his pride was hurt a little when we won the Minnesota game without him and he hurried himself back quicker than he should have with the calf injury. Just a thought. We are paying him a lot of money and he is not performing to that money in my opinion. Am I saying to move on from Dak in the future? ABSOLUTELY NOT!!! But maybe we need to rethink our expectations about him and maybe JUST MAYBE we don't have a top 5 QB like we think we do. He has to take us to a Conference Championship game in the next few years for me to be happy. I just don't know if he can will this team to one on his arm alone. Problem is the cowboys are paying him like he can. And that may be a problem!!!
