The Dallas Cowboys did a little management of the roster today, but nothing that will have a big impact on the upcoming season. As all teams do, they churned the bottom of their roster either to bring in depth, or to open up spots for future moves. Today the team dropped four players, and brought one back.
The Cowboys have re-signed WR Malik Turner and waived C Marcus Henry, TE Cole Hikutini, WR Jon'Vea Johnson, WR Chris Lacy

The team chose not to tender Malik Turner earlier this week, but brought him back on a contract of their choosing. Turner spent his first two years with Seattle before coming to Dallas and seeing some action on special teams in 2020.
Tight end Cole Hikutini won’t get into the battle for third tight end spot behind Blake Jarwin and Dalton Schultz, a position that opened up when Blake Bell returned to the Chiefs. Sean McKeon has the inside track for that one.
It looks like the saga of Jon’Vea Johnson with the Cowboys will come to an end. Johnson has been a fan favorite for a while given his physical skills and potential, but his problems with dropped passes has haunted him and he now finds himself without a job in Dallas.
Marcus Henry has bounced around with quite a few teams and was even on the active roster a couple of times last year.
