We are just about near the end of March; a point where free agency is about two weeks old in the National Football League. To date the Dallas Cowboys have brought in eight new faces, six of which are on the defensive side of the ball. They are, in a literal sense, paying more attention to the safety position than they have in recent memory which is certainly good to see, but is it something that we can really trust?

Ultimately, it does seem like trust is an important theme of this offseason and that Dallas Cowboys defensive coordinator Dan Quinn is the one who has it. Organizationally the team has trusted his philosophy as two of their bigger bets, specifically in the secondary, are players that he coached during his time at the head of the Atlanta Falcons.

We broke down everything that the Cowboys have done in free agency in the latest video on the Blogging The Boys YouTube Channel. Please consider subscribing if you like things like this, we put out several videos a week that include film reviews and even livestreams to discuss more topical things.

In some ways the offseason feels a little bit slow, but we are moving so fast that five of the new players on the team have even been assigned jersey numbers. That is an NFL team’s version of asking a player to the homecoming dance.

Of course all eyes are just about fixated on the upcoming 2021 NFL Draft and thanks to the huge trades pulled off between the San Francisco 49ers, Miami Dolphins (twice over), and Philadelphia Eagles on Friday, the Dallas Cowboys now hold the highest pick throughout the NFC East.

What will the third week of free agency bring?
