It has been a long time since the Dallas Cowboys played a football game, and unfortunately it will be even longer until they do next time. Before then, we will all continue to overthink and over-analyze every single thing that emerges concerning America’s Team. Is there a better way to live, honestly?
Much of the reason that this coming season is one we are all anxious to see is because the team should be returning a number of players that were injured last season. Ideally Leighton Vander Esch is able to play more on defense and there is hope that we will get to see Tyron Smith and La’el Collins together again. Obviously there is great intrigue around Dak Prescott and his return from injury.
We got to hear from Prescott about a month ago when he and the Cowboys finalized a long-term deal. The group held a press conference, and in it, Prescott was very specific in not putting any sort of timeframe around when he would be ready to do certain things in returning from the ankle injury that he suffered in Week 5 last year.
Thankfully we live in a day and age where videos pop up on social media all of the time. Eight seconds of glory emerged on Wednesday and in them Dak Prescott can be seen throwing and putting pressure on his ankle.

This is obviously an incredibly short video and therefore not enough to take away any serious conclusions, but it is still extremely encouraging to see. The road back is a long one for injured players and Dak Prescott is clearly progressing in a very good way.
We will have to continue waiting to see what the exact plan is as far as OTAs and minicamps in the NFL this offseason, but either way it seems that Prescott is tracking well. Football season needs to hurry up already.
