In the aftermath of the 2021 NFL Draft the Dallas Cowboys made a handful of roster moves and among them was the dismissal of defensive tackle Antwaun Woods. Woods was a serviceable journeyman for the Cowboys for the last three years, but just about ever since he joined the team the organization has added to the defensive tackle spot in every offseason.
Ultimately, releasing Woods was about making room for new players and sometimes that is the way that it goes in the NFL. Many Cowboys fans are rooting to see Woods have success in his new home and as of Tuesday we now know where that is. He is headed to the Indianapolis Colts.
Former Cowboys’ starting defensive lineman Antwaun Woods is signing a one-year deal with the Colts, per his agent @DrewJRosenhaus.

While the Colts have former Cowboys staffer Matt Eberflus as their defensive coordinator, his time in Dallas did not coincide with Woods’ tenure. Obviously it is a possibility that Flus hit up some Dallas friends to get info on Woods, but the point is that they didn’t work together with the Cowboys.
Still, though, this is a great opportunity for Woods and hopefully one that sees him find success. The Cowboys don’t play the Colts this year so we can root for him during each and every game this season.
