When a player of high caliber is hurt and/or lost for the season, which happened to Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys last season, it can give everybody some trepidation about the next season. Someone like the team’s quarterback obviously has a massive impact on what happens in a given game, especially when they are one of the top ones relative to the league.
This is June, though, when hope springs eternal and for the Cowboys things do feel much more optimistic than they have in a while. A huge reason for this is Dak Prescott’s return to under center from his gruesome ankle injury.
Speaking of the injury, it appears as if it is something that Dak Prescott would rather move on from entirely. Honestly, who can blame him?

“I’ve buried the injury. I’ve buried it mentally. And I think you guys (media) & a lot of people around have to help me & bury it as well as we move forward.
“Put that right on the tombstone.”
Shovel hit dirt for Prescott on Cinco de Mayo.
While it is obviously a subject of extreme fascination, it makes sense that Prescott would want to move on from anything injury-related. It is something that he has had to think about every day since it happened, and was a prominent topic in the lead-up to his landing a new contract, plus it was the thing that everyone wanted to know about with minicamp happening.
Dak Prescott has always been one of the more laser-focused players on the Cowboys throughout his time on the team so it is no surprise to see him with tunnel vision on the future. What’s more is his future continues to be on a nice trajectory as Wednesday brought with it the news that he is now a Jordan athlete.
Cowboys’ QB Dak Prescott is leaving adidas and signing a five-year agreement with the Jordan Brand, per source close to situation. Prescott will be the only Jordan Brand QB, the only Cowboys player, and highest-paid NFL player on the Jordan Brand roster.

Prescott changing from Adidas to Jordan had been something that felt inevitable if you looked closely at photos of the quarterback to this point. Hopefully it is yet the next step towards more accomplishments for him in his career.
