We have just about made it to training camp time in the National Football League. It is always a sight for sore eyes after the long offseason.

Once things kick off in Oxnard for the Dallas Cowboys it will be a whirlwind of action until (hopefully) the Super Bowl is over. While we are over halfway through the calendar year in 2021 the league is just beginning to start their own.

Here are all of the important days that you need to know as far as the 2021 NFL season is concerned. You can view a non-tweet version right here.

Obviously the most anticipated day for the Cowboys right now is the season opener against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on September 9th. Through the season all of their games have been known since the schedule was released, but the dates that apply to the offseason are still worth knowing now.

You will note that Super Bowl LVI is taking place later than usual (on February 13th) which is a result of the league expanding the regular season to 17 weeks. As the domino effect continues the NFL Combine is not scheduled to begin until March. That will feel a bit weird.

The New League Year will officially begin on March 16th, 2022, but teams can begin negotiating with players two days before that. Obviously we will be on the lookout at that time for names like Michael Gallup, Leighton Vander Esch, and potentially more.

Finally the league will hold the 2022 NFL Draft in Las Vegas from April 28th through 30th where the Cowboys will surely have the 32nd overall pick. Fingers crossed!
