The Dallas Cowboys leave very soon for Oxnard, California where they will begin training camp in hopes of doing something special this season. Much of the focus will be on the defensive side of the ball and how improved it is under new defensive coordinator Dan Quinn.
During the 2021 NFL Draft the Cowboys struck out on one of the group’s top cornerbacks and ultimately landed linebacker Micah Parsons with the 12th overall pick. Dallas did address the secondary several times throughout the selection process taking Kelvin Joseph, Nahshon Wright, and Israel Mukuamu before all was said and done.
New bodies mean that some of the older players don’t always stick around. On Saturday news broke with the team just days from departure that they will not be taking veteran cornerback Rashard Robinson with them to Oxnard.

You might recall that back in April it was announced that Robinson had been suspended for the first two games of the season. Needless to say that will no longer be a Cowboys-related issue.
The laws of physics state that what goes up must come down and in this instance one roster spot created should mean that one could be filled soon enough by the team. Perhaps they are angling to get deeper somewhere else before touching down on the west coast.
