The Dallas Cowboys return to practice on Tuesday after having Monday off and they are getting close to finally putting on pads. Sunday’s practice did not seem to have the same kind of excitement as the first two, but perhaps some of that is settling into the rhythms of training camp. What was notable about Sunday’s period was that it did not feature Zack Martin who was reportedly given a veteran day off.
Whether or not it was connected to that remains to be seen, but it was reported on Tuesday afternoon that Martin is actually dealing with a minor ankle injury.
Told Zack Martin is dealing with minor ankle injury. We speak with Mike McCarthy soon and will attempt to get an update as to whether Martin will practice today.

It doesn’t seem like there is any cause for concern, although Martin is one of the best players on the team so any doubt about his status is likely to cause uneasiness. Still, though, we are very early into camp and if it truly is minor then he should have all the time he needs to get right.
Mike McCarthy said that Martin will practice on Tuesday so it seems fine.
