After the recent outbreak of COVID among the Dallas Cowboys players and staff, things seem to be getting better. Yesterday it was reported that safety Israel Mukuamu was off the list and eligible to return to practice. Today, more good news for the safety group that had been hit hard by the outbreak.
The @dallascowboys activated S Malik Hooker (Ohio State) from the Reserve/COVID-19 list on Friday. He is now eligible to practice.

The Cowboys have a few players that are still out and awaiting their negative tests to get back into action. That list includes star WR CeeDee Lamb.
Cowboys have activated S Malik Hooker from Reserve/COVID-19, team announced. He’s eligible to practice today. So Hooker and S Israel Mukuamu have been activated. WR CeeDee Lamb, S Damontae Kazee, LG Connor Williams, DT Carlos Watkins and DC Dan Quinn remain in protocol.

It was also reported that Dan Quinn was feeling better and is close to returning as long as he gets the required negative tests he needs as vaccinated personnel. The other good news is that the outbreak has slowed and the team seems to have gotten it under control pretty rapidly.
Hooker’s return is good news for him and the team as he could use some reps in the upcoming Jacksonville Jaguars preseason game. With these players slowly returning to the team, the Cowboys will have to release some players to keep the roster at 80 players.
