On Sunday, the Dallascowboys.com staff ranked their top 15 performing players so far during training camp. A few important rankings include two linebackers, Leighton Vander Esch and Micah Parsons, coming in at numbers five and six respectively, and Randy Gregory at number two.
It should come as no surprise that second-year wideout CeeDee Lamb took home the honor of holding the top spot.
Lamb has been a walking highlight reel during camp. Here are just a few of the spectacular plays we’ve seen from the 22-year-old wide receiver.

David Helman, of Dallascowboys.com, noted that Lamb has reached the “Dez Level of Oxnard domination” this summer. To be that dominant in camp during you’re first real offseason and second year in the league is very impressive stuff.
CeeDee Lamb. Again.

He’s reached the Dez Level of Oxnard domination, as far as I’m concerned. pic.twitter.com/AoyhrSOkce
It seems like every single day Lamb is out doing what he did the previous day and making another jaw-dropping play. Everything the second-year wideout has done throughout the first part of camp makes it clear he’s ready for a breakout year this season.
Sure, you can say it’s just training camp, but Lamb is making plays others simply don’t. As mentioned above, it really is reminiscent of former Cowboy Dez Bryant. Lamb’s star on his helmet is shining as bright as he is on the field.
His rookie year numbers of 74 catches for 935 yards and five touchdowns were extremely impressive, but if his performance during camp is any indication of what’s to come during the season he’s going to blow those numbers out of the water. Everything he is doing makes it clear he’s capable of being a number-one receiver in this league.
To this point of camp, CeeDee Lamb is looking like a superstar. If the second-year wideout is able to keep it up, we might have a real conversation on our hands about who is the Cowboys’ WR1 at the conclusion of this season.
