Yesterday Cowboys fans received a real gut-punch with the injury report as it was first revealed that DeMarcus Lawrence had a foot injury. We later learned it was a broken foot (technically the fifth metatarsal) and that he had surgery and will miss an estimated six-to-eight weeks. He was officially moved to IR today.
That was on top of the team missing Michael Gallup (IR), La’el Collins (suspension) and Randy Gregory (COVID). Today’s injury report seems a little more normal for the team.
Starting safety Donovan Wilson is still being held out of practice with a groin problem. His status seems to be in real doubt after missing practice two days in a row. That problem has grown with the addition of safety Damontae Kazee to the injury report today. He is having a thigh issue and was limited today. The Cowboys backline could be thin on Sunday. Malik Hooker may get his first game action as a Cowboys this week.
Cowboys injury report: Damontae Kazee was limited with a thigh injury, Chauncey Golston and Nahshon Wright were full participants and DeMarcus Lawrence was placed on Reserve/Injured list.
