The Dallas Cowboys will host the Carolina Panthers next Sunday and when they do they could be looking for their third win in a row.
A Monday night contest against the Philadelphia Eagles stands between the Cowboys and focusing on the Panthers, but Cowboys fans were very aware of a notable potential change to the matchup on Thursday night when Carolina suffered a huge injury.
There is no question that the best offensive player on the Panthers is running back Christian McCaffrey and he exited the first half and was quickly ruled out for the game with a hamstring injury.

McCaffrey had been an extremely healthy player prior to last season when he missed all but three games. Perception so far this season was that he was back to his old form, but hamstrings have no mercy and can act up whenever they feel like it.
Carolina went 5-8 in games without McCaffrey last season and Dallas would be their first game where he would fully be out since then if he does wind up missing the contest. Obviously nobody ever wants to see any player hurt regardless of what team they are on, but there is no denying that this is already a huge factor for next Sunday’s game.
What’s more is that the Panthers also saw one of their best defensive players leave this game. Unfortunately first-round rookie cornerback Jaycee Horn, who many people wanted to see on the Cowboys, was carted off. The early word is that he reportedly broke his foot.

You never want to win because of injuries, but again these are two very notable ones for the Panthers. Hopefully McCaffrey and Horn get healthy soon, but these will be things to watch going into next weekend.
