That's a big cap hit in 2023 and 2024, not to mention a decently big cap hit in 2025 - even if he doesn't suit up for the Cowboys.
The Cowboys can restructure again, but that currently risks pushing a lot of guaranteed money into void years, which is definitely not ideal.
So conventional wisdom would tell us that in order to avoid cap hits of $50 million in 2023 and 2024, it makes sense to work out another deal with Mr. Prescott and Mr. France. What that looks like? I don't know. What I do know is that this probably needs to get done sooner rather than later in order to allow for a restructure next season.
