The Dallas Cowboys sit at a 4-2 record coming out of their bye week. While their two losses were hard pills to swallow, four wins in six games is impressive nonetheless. The Cowboys head into the easier four-game stretch of their remaining schedule, potentially putting themselves in a great position heading into their Thanksgiving game against the Washington Commanders.
The next four weeks:
- Week 8: vs Los Angeles Rams (3-4)
- Week 9: @ Philadelphia Eagles (6-1)
- Week 10: vs New York Giants (2-5)
- Week 11: @ Carolina Panthers (0-6)
Dallas Cowboys (4-2) remaining schedule:

- Rams
- at Eagles
- Giants
- at Panthers
- Commanders (Thanksgiving)
- Seahawks (TNF)
- Eagles
- at Bills
- at Dolphins (Christmas Eve)
- Lions (Saturday night)
- at Commanders
When looking at that group of games, the matchup that stands out is obviously the Philadelphia Eagles. The Eagles are currently ahead of the Cowboys in the race for the NFC east, however, a win for the Cowboys could catapult them to first.
Looking at those four games, it would be safe to assume the Cowboys should win at least three of those four. Of course, the Cowboys don’t always win when they’re supposed to. The game in question is the Eagles, as the division rivalry is always a close matchup every season. If the Cowboys can manage to win three of those four. the team will be sitting at 7-3 heading into Thanksgiving. In a situation where they sweep, they would sit at an impressive 8-2 record with a tiebreaker versus the Eagles.
While the season has had ups and downs, Cowboys fans should feel good about the direction of this team in the month of November. Assuming they take care of business on Thanksgiving, the Cowboys could be a eight or nine win team through the first twelve weeks. The Cowboys remain in a good position to battle for the first seed in the NFC as the season progresses.
