The final game of Week 7 in the NFL features the San Francisco 49ers at the Minnesota Vikings. The 49ers are 5-1 on the year including their 42-10 destruction of the Cowboys. The Vikings are a disappointing 2-4.
According to DraftKings Sportsbook the 49ers are seven-point favorites on the road.
This is an open thread for game chat.
Let’s see how the BTB staff picked the game.
Here are their thoughts on why they made their pick.
Dave Halprin: Even with a seven-point spread, it’s hard to pick against the 49ers. Their defense is dominant and their offense is a machine. The Vikings have been a very disappointing bunch this year and it won’t change tonight, 49ers cover.
Matt Holleran: Betting on Kirk Cousins in primetime games is a sure fire way to lose money. Even with all the injuries the 49ers are dealing with, there is no way the Vikings upset them tonight. Give me San Francisco to win and cover.
RJ Ochoa: I’d love to see the Vikings show out offensively and for Kirk Cousins to send the internet into a tailspin with an all-time performance in primetime against the 49ers of all teams, but it just seems so impossible. Give me San Francisco rather handily. Something like 33-16.
Tom Ryle: Coming off their first loss, the Niners are likely looking to take it out on the Vikes, no matter what injuries have happened. I’ll take San Francisco by a couple of scores.
David Howman: I really don’t see how this could go differently. The 49ers are immensely talented and now angry about losing for the first time this year, while the Vikings are very good at finding ways to lose to even bad teams. I’ll take the 49ers 43-21
OCC: This weekend was a total picks disaster for me - I only got 3 out of 12 games right. I picked the 49ers for the win tonight, which likely means they are getting clobbered by the Vikings.
