The Dallas Cowboys had four roster spots open on their practice squad after having a player poached and releasing others. Since they were in a bye week there was no rush to fill the spots, but they took the opportunity on Tuesday to rectify that by signing four players.

The #DallasCowboys have signed TE Eric Saubert (Drake, 2017 5th round pick), LB Buddy Johnson (Texas A&M, 2021 4th round pick), G Chris Glaser (Virginia, 2022 UDFA) and G Adam Pankey (West Virginia, 2017 UDFA) to the practice squad.
All four p-squad spots filled.
The Cowboys signed a tight end, something they’ve been short on since the Peyton Hendershot injury. They also brought in a new linebacker to a very thin room. And as always, they brought in offensive linemen for depth, just in case.
- Tight end Eric Saubert was drafted by the Atlanta Falcons in the fifth round of the 2017 draft. He has bounced around to numerous teams since then, starting 15 games and playing in 74, so he has tons of experience. He has 33 catches for 280 yards and two touchdowns in his career.
- Linebacker Buddy Johnson was drafted in the fourth round of the 2021 draft by the Pittsburgh Steelers. Dallas will be his fifth team in that time. He has only played in four games.
- Guard Chris Glaser was an undrafted free agent from Virginia in 2022. He signed with the Chiefs and was also with the Jets but doesn't have any game experience.
- Guard Adam Pankey was an undrafted free agent in 2017 out of West Virginia. Pankey has bounced around the league and has participated in nine games, starting one of them in 2019 for Miami.
