The Dallas Cowboys seek to avoid what’s been deemed a “trap game” for the second consecutive week. The Carolina Panthers, a rebuilding team with a young, inexperienced quarterback, have only mustered one win this season. Meanwhile, the Cowboys have largely dominated their opponents in their six wins in 2023, winning by an average of 25.5 points. The Cowboys are heavily favored to win on Sunday. Following Friday’s injury report, things are looking good for the Cowboys.

The Cowboys enter the weekend as healthy as possible. Yesterday most of their players were a full go at practice, including KaVontae Turpin, but not Tyron Smith. Smith’s absence was precautionary as the team is managing his workload. Today, he was removed from the injury report entirely and will play against the Carolina Panthers. Today’s report is confirmation that their players are on the right track to play this Sunday. Additionally, Jourdan Lewis and Osa Odighizuwa carry no injury designation heading into the weekend.

As for the Panthers’ injuries, several players were ultimately ruled out after some optimism this week. C.J. Henderson was downgraded yesterday to DNP with concussion symptoms, before team announcing he would miss this week’s game. Tight end Hayden Hurst will also be sidelined, still suffering from a concussion. Finally, Jaycee Horn practiced but is still not well enough to play this weekend.
