The final game of Week 12 in the NFL features the Chicago Bears at the Minnesota Vikings.

According to DraftKings Sportsbook the Vikings are 3-point favorites.

This is an open thread for game chat.

Let’s see how the BTB staff picked the game.

Here are their thoughts on why they made their pick.

Dave Halprin: You have to take the Vikings here at home. They’ve been the better team recently, they still have the playoffs to fight for, and they are playing at home. Vikes by 10.

RJ Ochoa: It works out better for the Cowboys if the Bears win this game, but it is really hard to imagine that happening. I’m so fascinated by the Vikings and the Joshua Dobbs story. Give me the Vikes tonight in a close one, 24-22.

Matt Holleran: The Vikings, who many believed would fall completely out of the playoff picture after Kirk Cousins’ injury, have battled tough and are playing some decent football. The Bears looked better last week, especially on offense with Justin Fields back, but they don’t have much to play for tonight. The Vikings need this win to keep a lead in the NFC Wild Card race. I see the Vikings doing so in a game that is more exiting than many think it will be. Give me Minnesota, 27-20.

Tom Ryle: I wouldn’t say I’m excited for this one. Both teams are still trying to figure out just exactly what they have at quarterback. Josh Dobbs may turn out to have as much to offer as Justin Fields, but we will see. The Vikings are like the Cowboys, trying to make sure they are in the playoffs and a loss could give NFCN leader Detroit a bit too much of a lead to have any chance of overtaking them. The Bears are just not a good football team and are essentially out of the playoff picture. But they would love to play spoiler. Still, give me Minnesota, and it probably won’t be a close or entertaining game.

David Howman: The last time these two teams faced each other, the Vikings won in large part because Justin Fields was incapable of handling Minnesota’s myriad of exotic blitzes. Ironically, that was the game where Fields got injured and the Vikings’ win streak began. Fields is back, but the streak ended a week ago. I’ll take the Vikings to get back on track against Chicago, winning 21-14.

Brian Martin: I’m really enjoying watching this Josh Dobbs story unfold this year. From coming out of nowhere to start for the Cardinals to then being traded to Minnesota to take over for Kirk Cousins after his season-ending injury. It’s been a fun ride and I think he will help lead the Vikings to victory in this MNF matchup.

OCC: The Bears got Justin Fields back and almost beat the Lions last week. The Vikings had a 5-game win streak going before they lost to Denver last week. I’m riding the Josh Dobbs story and the home field advantage this week, Vikings for the win.
