Cowboys vs Seahawks 2023 Week 13 game day live discussion

Our first quarter discussion thread for the Cowboys and Seahawks is now open.

NFL: Preseason-Dallas Cowboys at Seattle Seahawks Joe Nicholson-USA TODAY Sports

Here we go. The Dallas Cowboys will host the Seattle Seahawks on Thursday Night Football. The Cowboys are favored by 9-points according to DraftKings Sportsbook.

This is an open thread for game chat.

Some of our BTB writers are picking games using Tallysight. Below are the picks for this game and explanations as to why.

Dave Halprin: The Cowboys are red-hot at home right now. The Seahawks are struggling lately and it feels like they might be exposed as just another team. Take the Cowboys 31-17.

OCC: The Cowboys are killing teams at home this year, averaging a margin of victory of almost 30 points in the five games so far. The Seahawks are reeling, limping into Dallas with a 1-3 record over the last four games, they’re suffering from poor line play, and the Geno Smith story seems to have fallen victim to the Hollywood writer’s stike. The Cowboys may not win by 30 points, but anything other than a resounding victory would be a big surprise.

Tom Ryle: A couple of weeks ago, this looked like the first big test since the Eagles game. Now, it feels more like the Commanders game. The Seahawks seem much more pretender than contender, while the Cowboys are playing some of the best football in the league. I think the Cowboys win, by at least two scores.

RJ Ochoa: It is always a nice feeling when the Cowboys make it through their double Thursday stretch with nothing but wins. While the Seahawks have been in the mix for most of this season they appear to be fading at the moment which lends to the idea that this will work out the way that we want. I’ll take the Cowboys in a comfortable win. Something along the lines of 33-20.

David Howman: The Seahawks aren’t playing their best football right now, but they’re always capable of making things frisky. I expect Seattle’s offense to start off strong, but they won’t be able to keep up with the Cowboys and this red hot Texas Coast offense. Cowboys win 38-24.

Matt Holleran: The Seahawks are in a bit of a skid and their defense is really struggling. Dallas should be able to run the ball with success and I expect them to put up another impressive offensive performance. This game stays close for a bit until Dallas pulls away in the second half. Give me the Cowboys, 30-17.
