The Dallas Cowboys improved to an impressive 9-3 on the season with a win on Thursday night against the Seattle Seahawks. It was a game of offensive firepower, with the Cowboys coming away with the 41-35 victory. Neither team punted once throughout the game, marking just the sixth time in NFL history where a game did not feature a punt. Both teams combined for 76 points and 817 total yards throughout the game.

In easily the worst performance of the season from Dan Quinn’s defense, Mike McCarthy’s offense had to step up and win them the game. QB Dak Prescott rose to the challenge. Prescott finished the game 29/41 passing for 299 yards, three touchdowns, and zero interceptions. Prescott continued to show great ball security throughout the game by not turning the ball over, despite facing pressure from the Seahawks defensive line throughout the game.

Prescott’s performance adds another impressive game to his 2023 résumé, as he is firmly in the mix to win the award for league MVP. Prescott has been on a tear the last six games of the season, scoring 21 touchdowns and turning the ball over just twice. He is also averaging 317 passing yards per game on a 71% completion rate.

Following the win over the Seahawks, Prescott was asked about people who are still denying him credit for his recent play. His response was awesome.

Prescott’s recent play has caused him to skyrocket in the MVP odds over the last several weeks. On November 16, Prescott’s odds to win the award according to DraftKings Sportsbook was just +3500. Following Thursday’s win against Seattle, Prescott is now +475. He has the fourth highest odds in the league, behind Jalen Hurts (+150), Patrick Mahomes (+380) and Lamar Jackson (+450).

If Prescott can continue his impressive performance over the next stretch of games, his odds should continue to rise. The team faces a tough next four opponents, taking on the Philadelphia Eagles (10-1) next week, followed by the Buffalo Bills (6-6), the Miami Dolphins (8-3), and the Detroit Lions (8-3). If Prescott continues elevating his team to victory against these four opponents, there will be no denying who the MVP is in the 2023 season.
