The Cowboys are a little over an hour away from kicking off their Sunday Night Football matchup against the Eagles, a crucial game that carries massive implications for both the conference and the division. And despite this being their first game in December, both teams have an inactive list that reflects an uncommonly healthy team.
The biggest news is that Peyton Hendershot will make his return from the injured reserve, though it’s unclear what role he will have right off the bat. His roster spot was cleared after fellow tight end Sean McKeon was added to the injured reserve.
As for the actual list of inactives, it’s all healthy scratches. The Cowboys won’t be dressing Eric Scott Jr., Noah Igbinoghene, Deuce Vaughn, Asim Richards, Jalen Brooks, and Trey Lance. As has been the case, Lance is the designated emergency quarterback for this game.
Rico Dowdle was once again listed on the injury report with an ankle injury that’s been nagging him, but the running back has yet to miss any time with it. Micah Parsons was also added to the injury report early this morning with an illness, but is expected to play through it.
The Eagles are also entering this game very healthy. Dallas Goedert, who missed the last three weeks with an injury, is expected to return after practicing every day this week. None of the seven players listed on the Eagles’ injury report carried a game designation into today. Jalen Hurts, who was examined for a concussion during last week’s game, was not listed on the injury report at all this week.
