Another Christmas game for Week 16 in the NFL features the New York Giants visiting the Philadelphia Eagles.
This is an open thread for game chat.
Let’s see how the BTB staff picked the game.
Here are their thoughts on why they made their pick.
Dave Halprin: While the heart may say ‘take the Giants’ the reality is that on the road against the Eagles is probably a game not even DeVito Christmas Magic can overcome. Take the Eagles, but they will not cover the spread.
RJ Ochoa: I’d love nothing more than for the Giants to give us a Christmas gift and the Eagles loss that we so badly need to put control for the division in Dallas’ hands, but I am not willing to bet on it happening. I’ll take the Eagles in another close one, something like 23-16.
Tom Ryle: The Giants winning would be a nice treat after yesterday’s lump of coal, but the Eagles know that the Cowboys will be nipping at their heels if they lose this one. I think they will win easily, and we will hear about it all week.
David Howman: The Giants have been surprisingly good with Tommy DeVito, and the Eagles are spiraling right now. I see this being a really close one, but the Eagles will pull it out in the end and convince everyone they’ve righted the ship for a week. Eagles win 27-21.
Brian Martin: I’d love nothing more than to see the Giants upset the Eagles on MNF, but sadly it’s a long shot that happens. Philadelphia may be struggling as of late, but are still the superior team and should win relatively easy.
