It is common for an NFL season to be chaotic down the stretch, and unfortunately for the Cowboys that is the case because they have not wonin a few weeks. But things can turn rather quickly and a Saturday night game against the Detroit Lions offers the opportunity to put themselves squarely in the mix entering the regular-season finale.
Saturday night will be quite the occasion on top of the game that will be happening. Dak Prescott, CeeDee Lamb, Micah Parsons, DeMarcus Lawrence and Co. will all be working very hard at helping the Cowboys earn a win of course, but during halftime of this game former team head coach Jimmy Johnson will, at long last, be enshrined in the team’s Ring of Honor.
Johnson helped craft the 1990s Dallas Cowboys dynasty and has long deserved a place in the team’s own Hall of Fame. It was a playoff loss to the Lions in 1991 that seemed to be the last thing his Cowboys group needed to fully become who they did, and this time around Jared Goff, Amon-Ra St. Brown, Jahmyr Gibbs, Aidan Hutchinson and all the rest will try to recreate that version of history (Detroit has not won a playoff game since the one in question by the way).
