Cowboys vs Lions prop bets: Jared Goff, Jahmyr Gibbs, one over and one under

What prop bets are you willing to take for this week’s Cowboys game?

When the Dallas Cowboys play the Detroit Lions on Saturday, we’ll all be rooting for a Cowboys victory, but there is a way to add a little more spice to the game. Prop bets!

DraftKing Sportsbook has a dizzying array of interesting prop bets for the game, so we’ll take a look at a few to try and get an idea of how the game may go.

First, a brief primer on the odds:

All the betting odds at North American sportsbooks are based around a bet of $100. A plus sign (positive odds) indicates your profit on a bet of $100, while a minus sign (negative odds) indicates the amount you would have to bet for a $100 profit.

So, a +200 line means that, should the sports bettor win, they receive $200 profit for every $100 they wager (plus their original $100 back). If the wager had a minus sign (i.e. -200), it would mean that the sports bettors will earn $100 profit for every $200 they wager.

Here are the bets to take.

Dak Prescott over 2.5 passing TDs (+123)

This one is a big gamble because asking for three touchdowns in a game from a quarterback is a tough ask. But the Cowboys will be at home, and it feels like the offense is just waiting to explode again. Dak Prescott will go off in this game and the Lions are really tough against the run, but soft against the pass. We are gambling for the over with that nice payout.

Jared Goff under 254.5 passing yards (-115)

On the flip side, the Cowboys defense is much better at limiting the pass instead of limiting the run. Detroit will rely on the running game with their two-headed monster of David Montgomery and Jahmyr Gibbs. In turn, Goff will not be asked to do too much in the passing game. Take the under.

Jake Ferguson over 48.5 passing yards (-115)

We like the Cowboys tight end this week as teams are trying more and more to bracket CeeDee Lamb. Ferguson will be the release valve this week and should get plenty of targets. Given the problems running on the Lions defense, there should be plenty of targets to go around in the passing game.

Jahmyr Gibbs over 52.5 rushing yards (-115)

Gibbs is explosive and is taking a bigger role in the Lions offense. The Cowboys run defense issues are well known. We can see Gibbs breaking off some chunk plays in this game so we’re going over.

Those are only a small fraction of the prop bets available for the game. Check out DraftKings for more.
